Jarod & Najla

It was a lot of fun taking photos yesterday of these two young models, Jarod & Najla, from the Paloma Limas Modeling & Dance Company. They were awesome and made the shoot so easy for me. It was hot, but we all persisted and got the great shots below. Also got to take a few photos with my new Sigma Art 35mm. It was a learning experience for sure!

Just want to thank everyone who helped with this shoot. Heather Kvapil Garza for providing hair and makeup, Mary and Darlene for letting me photograph their kids, and Albert for providing the models.

Heather Nicole

Had the pleasure of photographing Heather Nicole Gonzalez this week. She served as UTPA's last Homecoming Princess of 2015. This session was really important to Heather as UTPA is about to start it's first semester as UTRGV and will soon be getting rid of the beloved Bronc statue. I was sure to get photos of her and the statue, but we also got some in other areas on campus. I know I was able to capture the moments she wanted so I was really glad they chose me for her session. =)

Paola Quiroz

Last week a friend and talented photographer, Daryl Gonzalez of Daryl Gonzalez Photography, sent me a message asking if I wanted to join in on a shoot. He knows I'm always down to shoot so I said yeah and came up with these photos. I only took a few as I wanted to help Daryl get the photos he wanted to first. I was holding the reflector for him when his son and helpful assistant got tired. Here's what I came up with and some BTS ('Behind The Scenes') shots of Daryl doing his thing. =)
